Elizabeth Scarborough, 72, of Celeste passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 in Greenville. Elizabeth was born in Lake Helen, Florida on May 21, 1947 to Wallace Leroy Pride Sr. and Ida Kathleen Bolton Pride. She was a seamstress for many years. Elizabeth married Earnest Scarborough on February 24, 1973. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2004.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter Julie Thompson; sons Earnest Scarborough Jr. and Michael Scarborough and wife, Shea; step-daughter Lisa Rodgers and husband, Jerry; grandchildren Bobby, Mandi, Ella, Michael, Jerry Don, Celsey, and Dustin, 5 great-grandchildren; and sister Catherine Young. She was preceded in death by sisters Gloria Blackwell, Charlotte Berryhill, Evelyn Thompson; brother Roy Pride; daughter Sharon Scarborough; and granddaughter Ashley Rodgers.
A burial was held Monday, July 8, 2019 at McWright Cemetery.
