LONE OAK – Funeral services for Eva May Kennemer Goode, 80, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at First Christian Church, Lone Oak, with Bro. Danny Calk and Bro. Robert Cook officiating.
Interment will be in IOOF Cemetery, Quinlan, under the direction of Bartley’s Lone Oak Funeral Home.
Mrs. Goode passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019, at a nursing home in Greenville. She was born November 11, 1938, in Quinlan, to the late James and Willie May Aldridge Kennemer. She married Hollis Matthew Goode, Sr. on March 25, 1958, in Hunt County. She lived in the Lone Oak area since 1963 and worked in sewing factories for years. Eva also worked as a Nurses Aid. She was a mother to more than just her own children and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include her sons, Hollis Goode, Jr. and wife Marlene of Fate and James Goode and wife Kelly of Greenville; daughter, Susie Adair of Lone Oak; sister, Verda Arnold and husband Doyle of Quinlan; six grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hollis Goode, Sr.; five sisters; and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Hollis Goode III, Luke Goode, Ethan Adair, Adam Pearce, Dale Dickerson, Kevin Bain, and Ryu Gerber.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2018, at the funeral home.
