Gaynell Marie Curtis, 84, of Greenville, died Sunday, August 4, 2019 in Greenville. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 7, 2019 in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Curtis was born in Celeste, Texas on April 25, 1935. She was the daughter of Thomas Burns and Lillie Bishop Burns. She married Lewis W. Curtis on November 11, 1955 in Blue Ridge, Texas. She was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church and retired from Lance.
Survivors include her daughter, Louanne Massey and husband, Phillip Len of Commerce; son, William Curtis of Greenville; sister, Beatrice Ratchford of Arlington; son-in-law, James David Pocase; grandchildren, Jason Pocase and Kirsty, Jennifer Duffer and husband, Kyle, Kevin Pocase and Melissa Pocase; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Curtis; daughter, Dianne Pocase; brothers, Issac Burns and Ollie Ledbetter; and grandson, Steven.
Pallbearers will be Jason Pocase, Kyle Duffer, Eddie Burns, Marty Burns, Kyle Stanphill and Jimmy Pocase.
