George Myron Gregg, 80, of Greenville, passed away on March 24, 2020 in Greenville. A graveside service will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 27, 2020 at Memoryland Memorial Park with Rev. Dewey Davidson officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
Mr. Gregg was born October 1, 1939 in Valley Head, West Virginia to Walter Dewey Gregg and Lutie Nina Flannigan. He married Wanda Mullins on January 19, 1962 in Summersville, West Virginia. He worked for Airborne Maintenance for 22 years in the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Raytheon and L-3.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Gregg of Greenville; sons, Steven Gregg of Omaha, NE, Michael Gregg of Prairie Village, KS, and Jonathan Gregg of Jerome, ID; daughter, Mellody Joyner of Altus, OK; sisters, Louise Graham of Toledo, OH, Nancy Wiseman of Pleasureville, KY and Jeri Whitten of South Charleston, WV; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, daughter, Georgianna Kennedy, and brother, Robert Gregg.
We are requesting that you limit the size of the gathering during the graveside to 10 people due to the concerns regarding the current health crisis. Please feel free to come and pay your respects but limit your contact with others per recommended guidelines from the CDC.
