Ginger Carol Graves, 76, of Lone Oak passed away at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs on Wednesday evening June 30, 2021. She was born in Marlow, Oklahoma on August 21, 1944 to Winnie Bell Cast Cohea. She married Dearl Graves on August 3, 1977 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Ginger worked many years as a medical billing specialist. She taught Sunday school at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Commerce. She also fellowshipped with Brashear Baptist Church. She loved Elvis Presley, decorating her classroom for vacation bible school, loved to decorate for Christmas and definitely loved to drive fast in her car.
Ginger is survived by her children; Gaylon Steel and wife Babette of Commerce, Leland Steel of Klondike, Selina Martin of Grandbury, Melisa Pope and husband Jackie of Lone Oak and Bill Hanes and wife Kristin of Campbell; sisters Sandy Cohea and Margie Johns; brothers: Mike Cohea, Larry Cohea, Jerry Cohea and Rodney Cohea; grandchildren: Christina Steel, Joshua Steel, Chelsey Anton, Jacob Riley, Harley Pope, Jenna Pope, Garrett Hanes, Payton Hanes and Preston Hanes; great-grandson Landen Riley.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Winnie Bell Cast Cohea and husband, Dearl Graves.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 2:00 P.M. Bro. RJ Nanny will officiate. Burial will follow at Horton Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Garrett Hanes, Preston Hanes, Jacob Riley, Zack Bocco, Perry Pope and Payton Hanes.
