Gordon Eugene “Gene” Moore, 87, of Greenville, passed away on February 21, 2022 at Medical City of Plano surrounded by his family. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in 7charge of arrangements. No services will be handled at this time.
Gene was born October 17, 1934 in Stafford, Texas to Gordon G. and Hassie Mize Moore. He married Juanita Cantrell on September 13, 1952 in Greenville, Texas. Gene was a painting contractor where he owned and operated Gene Moore and Sons Painting.
He is survived by his wife, Lesta Juanita Moore; sons, Steven Moore and wife, Linda, Randy Moore and wife, Melody, Kevin Moore and wife, Annette; daughters, Deborah Hamilton, Stephanie Gaulden and husband, Duane; sister, Alice Abbott; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dalton Moore, Billy Moore; sisters, Martha Jones, Shirley Felts, Eloise Lindsey, Wathene Moore; son-in-law, Keith Hamilton; brother-in-law, Roland Abbott; and grandsons, Steddy Moore and Kyle Moore.
