Harvey Lee Mize, Jr., 74 of Caddo Mills, died Thursday, December 19, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cary Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Caddo Mills IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Mize was born in Greenville on April 7, 1945. He was the son of Harvey Lee Mize, Sr. and Viola Bagwell Mize. He married Carole Jean Sanders on June 25, 1965 in Greenville. He was a member of Faith Bible Church in Caddo Mills. Mr. Mize retired in 2016 from Sapa Extrusion out of Delhi, Louisiana as an account executive after 52 years. He started his career on the line at age 18 and worked his way through the ranks to account executive. He enjoyed hunting, animals, and golf.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Jean Mize; sons, Jeffery Mize and wife Jerri and Randall Mize and wife Christina; daughter, Christina Holt and husband Allan; brothers Milton Mize and wife Wanda, Keith Mize and wife Lisa, Sam Mize and wife Patti, Anthony Mize and wife Kathy and David Mize and wife Theresa; sisters, Nell Smith and husband J. R., Wilma Mize and Brenda Heath; grandchildren, Tyler Mize, Whitney Jones and husband Ken, Jordan Mize, Caden Mize, Joshua Mize, Meghann Holt and Lindsay Holt; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Mize and sisters Janet Mize Sanders and Evelyn Mize Elliott.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Mize, Caden Mize, Jason Sanders, Jack Mize, Jackie Mize and Joshua Mize. Honorary pallbearers will be David Buchanan and Jim (Mo) Morlock.
