Hazel Faye (McManus) Price 87 passed away on May 26, 2021 surrounded by family and friends at her home in Quinlan, Texas. She was born July 12, 1933 to James Oscar and Margie Edna Ruth McManus in Grapeland, Texas.
Known as “Granny Hazel” by everyone, she will be remembered for the immense love she gave to all. She cherished every moment spent with each member of her family especially her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was a Christian woman, dedicated to serving the Lord and was a member of Gloryland Baptist Church. She thoroughly enjoyed listening to gospel music. In addition, Granny Hazel was a seamstress by trade and was extremely skilled at sewing and creating beautiful clothing items. She leaves lasting and wonderful memories for her family and friends.
Granny Hazel is survived by her son, James Ray Eskridge and his wife Deborah Alexander; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great -great grandchildren; along with a host of extended relatives and loving friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ben Ray Eskridge, son, Marcus Eskridge, daughters, Linda Kay Pless, Rita Carman, Pam Campfield; brothers, James McManus, Kenneth Ray McManus, Franklin McManus; sisters, Mary Price, Florence Price, Liller Durham.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday June 3, 2021 at from 6 pm to 8 pm at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11 am at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville, Texas.
Granny Hazel will be laid to rest privately at Hooker Ridge Cemetery.
