Helen was born November 17, 1954 in Independence, Kansas to Raymond and Anna Merrit Hare. She married Bob McFatridge on November 6, 1992 in Richardson, Texas.  She worked as an electrical assembly technician for over thirty years.

Helen was a doting mother and devoted wife.  Her faith in God was the foundation for all of her decisions and actions in life, and she is surely singing amongst the angels now. Helen’s generous temperament was recognized by all those that benefited from her caring presence, and her greatest asset was her willingness to love with a full heart. She prioritized family and time spent together above all material possessions, and entering her home always meant receiving a good meal and leaving with a comforted spirit. Those that she held dear can attest to the deep love that existed in her marriage, a union that was characterized by lots of laughter, loads of loyalty, and a shared passion for the power of rock-n-roll music.
