James H. Rhodes III, 82, of Commerce, passed away on November 21, 2021, in Greenville. A graveside service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Sonora Cemetery with Rev. Dr. John Blacklock officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 26, 2021, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church of Commerce. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rhodes was born October 30, 1939, in Dallas, Texas to James Henry Rhodes, Jr. and Virginia Ruth Watts. He married Glendolyn K. Johnston on December 14, 1962, in Dallas, Texas. He worked in Accounting for E-Systems and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Commerce.
He is survived by his son, James Glenn Rhodes and wife, Tara of Athens, grandchildren, Toby Glenn Rhodes and Madison Grace Rhodes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and son, John Paul Rhodes.
Memorials may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital or the Food Pantry at First Presbyterian Church of Commerce.
