Mr. James Joseph “Joe” Slemmons, 63, of Lone Oak, passed away August 20, 2024. He was born January 26, 1961, in Mesquite. He graduated from Lone Oak High School and had spent most of his life in the area. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, James Kenneth & Kaye Smart Slemmons; brother, Mike Slemmons; and nephew, Nathan Slemmons.
Survivors include his two sons, Jimmie Slemmons of Lone Oak, and Roper Huddleston of Tyler; two daughters, Christi Kilgore of Point, and Charli Wallace of Point; sister, Sherry Colburn of Alba; and numerous other relatives and friends.
