James “Kevin” Meek, 62, of Greenville, passed away on February 15, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Pastor Brett Bird officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until service time. There will be a graveside service at D/ FW National Cemetery on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.
Kevin was born July 13, 1959, in San Angelo, Texas to Byron and Alvis Boyd Meek. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army where he served his country. He married Cindy Brewer on December 22, 1979, in Irving, Texas. He worked as a printer for Impact Printing in Dallas, Texas.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Cindy Meek; daughter, Nicole Burns and husband, Richard; sister, Missy Wright and husband, B. L. Wright; grandchildren, Tristan Burns, Brantley Burns; nephews, Josh Meek and wife, Ali, Alexander Brewer, Michael Wright; nieces, Shelby Welty and husband, Garrett, Sarah Brewer; great-nieces and nephews, Hadlee Welty, Coulter Welty, Shelby Day, Riley Day; mother-in-law, Wilma Brewer; sister-in-law, Crystal Averitt and brother-in-law, Todd Brewer.
He is preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, John Brewer.
Pallbearers will be Tristan Burns, Richard Burns, Josh Meek, Mike Wright, Ray Long and Michael Wright. Honorary pallbearer will be Garrett Welty.
