Graveside services for James Robert Blanton, 65, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Hall Cemetery with David Glidewell officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.
Mr. Blanton passed away April 20, 2023, in Quinlan. He was born January 10, 1958, in Gainesville, Florida, to Robert Ivy and Rebecca Paschell Blanton. He spent his early years in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Skyline High School. He lived in Greenville for several years before moving to Lone Oak 18 years ago. James was a member of Top Rail Cowboy Church in Greenville. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ivy Blanton; and sister, Missy Barney.
Survivors include his mother, Becky Norwood of Graham; two sons, Cody Blanton and wife Morgan of Lone Oak and Charles Tawater and wife Bre of Colorado; three daughters, Brandi Collins and husband Curtis of Graham, Chance Flint and wife Ashley of Golden Valley, Arizona, and Brittani Bartlett of McKinney; six grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Cody Blanton, Chris Brown, Joshua Glidewell, Ray Crabtree, James Freeman, and Joshua Fowler.

The family will receive friends. 1 p.m., Thursday, at the cemetery.
