James Robert Campbell, 66, of Greenville, Texas passed away on June 24, 2024. He was born on July 7, 1957 to William “Bill” and Mildred (Taylor) Campbell in Antlers, Oklahoma.
Jimmy spent his career working as a procurement specialist for more than 23 years for L-3 Harris. He enjoyed many things, such as being outdoors, working in his yard, weightlifting, and going for long walks with his wife. He loved sports and was a fan of all the Dallas sports teams as well as wrestling. Most of all he adored his family, and spending time with them.
Jimmy leaves lasting and wonderful memories for his family and friends.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Tamye Campbell; sons, Joshua Campbell and wife Shanelle, Caleb Campbell; mother, Mildred Matthews; sister, Kathy Hunt; numerous nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Nathan Chandler; brother-in-law, Tony Chandler and wife Sherry; along with a host of other loving family members and loving friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Campbell, sister, Teresa Tucker, and mother-in-law, Pansy Chandler.
The family will have a private memorial at a later date in Jimmy’s honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ALS Association.
