Janice Carol Rich Newby, 77, of Greenville, went to be with her Heavenly Father on the evening of August 14, 2023. Janice was born on September 20, 1945, in Shreveport, to Jessie Mae Starling and William Eugene Rich.
Janice was a member of Vansickle Baptist Church, where she attended with her family. She was married to the love of her life, Kenneth, for over 50 years before he passed. Janice also loved tending to her garden and taking care of her horses.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Mary Margaret Newby; granddaughter, Hannah Kay Schutz; sister-in-law, Betty Rich; and niece, Jeannie Rich Chandler and husband Rob; great nephew, Hunter Chandler; and great niece, Goldie Chandler.
Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth David Newby; brother, Donald Rich; and sister, Margaret Rich.
A graveside service will be held at Greathouse Cemetery in Temple, on Friday, August 18, at 11:00AM with Bro Roger Ratliff leading the service. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville.
