Janice Kaye Henderson, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on August 22, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on March 26, 1944, in Seligman, Missouri, Janice lived a life filled with love, laughter, and creativity that touched everyone she met.

 Janice was immensely proud of her career as a police dispatcher in West Tawakoni during the late 1980s; the job allowed her to serve her community with dedication and passion. Her warm personality and sparkling blue eyes drew people to her, making every interaction a cherished moment. Known for her wonderful wit and a smile that could light up a room, she had a unique ability to make people laugh and feel at ease in her presence.

A remarkable creative spirit, Janice could do nearly anything artistic. She found joy in crafting flower arrangements alongside her brother Buddy and expressed her ingenuity by developing new carpeting designs for Good Time vans. Her creative pursuits were an extension of her vibrant personality, as she poured her heart into everything she did.

Family meant the world to Janice. She cherished her trips back to Oklahoma, where get-togethers fostered some of her happiest memories. She is survived by her loving husband, Roy Henderson, who stood by her through all of life’s moments. Janice also leaves behind her adored children, Teresa Hobbs Henry, Leslie Dixon, Tina Parrent, Rhonda Thomas, Royce Scribner, Billy Henderson, and Mickey Henderson, who each carry with them a piece of her laughter and love.

Her legacy continues through her sixteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, who were the apples of her eye and provided endless joy. Janice’s siblings, including her sister Marcell Craig of Branson, Missouri, and sister-in-law Linda Dehart, were also bright threads in the fabric of her life.

Among Janice’s proudest accomplishments was hitting $30,000 on the lottery, a moment that reflected her playful spirit and love for life. Throughout her journey, she embraced every moment with an open heart, always focused on the joy that surrounded her.

Janice Kaye Henderson will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the incredible love she shared with her family and friends.
