Jerry Francis Cariveau 80, of Greenville, Texas and formerly of Grand Forks, North Dakota passed away on January 6, 2024. He was born on June 3, 1943 to Francis Paul and Turene Evelyn Torgeson Cariveau in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Jerry was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. He lived a well-rounded life. He worked hard owning his own liquor store and later manufacturing circuit boards. He was a faithful and active member of the St. Bede Catholic Church in Hayward, California and the Knights of Columbus. He also enjoyed sports, especially football. He was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan.
Jerry leaves lasting and wonderful memories for his family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his loving children, Randy Cariveau and wife Sue, Renee Santiago and husband Tony, Ryan Cariveau and wife Susan, Rocky Cariveau and wife Adrienne; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren with 2 great-grandchildren on the way; sister, Bonnie Egeland Uran and husband Bernard; numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of loving extended family and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Cariveau; step-father, Vern Malafa; wife, Remy Cariveau.
The family will have a memorial at a later date.
