Jerry Lynn Head, 64, of Greenville, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2024, at Medical City Plano. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 10, 2024, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time. A celebration of life will follow the funeral service, at Hartlines Golf and Sports Club at 3:00 P.M.

Jerry was born March 15, 1960, to Billie June and Jimmie Dale Head in Greenville, Tx. Jerry spent the entirety of his childhood in Greenville, Tx, and graduated from Greenville High School in 1978. He was a skilled athlete and excelled on the tennis court, winning multiple tennis championship titles. He attended the University of East Texas and the University of Tampa and held a Masters in Business and worked as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida and Texas. He was married to his former wife Kate Head in 1988; started his own business and raised their two children in Florida. Jerry was passionate about music, sports, cattle, friends, and family.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Dale Head.

He was survived by his mother, Billie June Wall Head, and brother, Gary Head, his son, David Head; his daughter, Michelle Gurtin, son in law, Steve Gurtin, and his grandson, Brendan Gurtin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Chelberg, Amos Lowry, David Bench, Brian Eastup, Joe Stinebaugh, Jerry Anderson, Duane May, and Phillip May.
