JoAnn (Trook) Westbrook was born January 18, 1934 in Chandler, Oklahoma and was the first child of John and Opal Trook. The family moved to the Canton area when she was a small child where she attended Canton Public schools. She graduated Salutatorian of the class of 1952. After graduation she attended Draughons Business College in Oklahoma City from 1952 until 1953. She married Glen Hoskins after he returned from the Korean War.
In 1956 they moved to Greenville, Texas. Their son Gary was born July 2, 1958. She married Howard Westbrook August 1982 and they enjoyed several years traveling in their camper or motor home. Branson was one of their favorite destinations. JoAnn worked for several companies before retiring in 1996 as office manager for Timothy Ellington MD. She continued to work part-time and do product demonstrations at retail stores.
JoAnn was proceeded in death by her parents John and Opal Trook, husband Glen Hoskins, son Gary Hoskins, husband Howard Westbrook, sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Ernie Pickens and step daughter Vicki Lyndley. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Larry and Melanie Trook, stepson and wife Wayne and Debbie Westbrook, stepson and wife Donnie and Lisa Westbrook. Stepson Ronnie Westbrook, stepdaughter Betty Tarrant, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, numerous nephews and nieces.
The family would like to give special thanks to friends Cindy Branch, Kim Lewis, and Paul Hinna for their love, help and support. Also thanks to Colonial Lodge and Kindred Hospice for their care. Memorials can be made to Resurection Community Church in Lone Oak.
