Johnny Lee Fite, age 73, of West Tawakoni, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 in Greenville. A Graveside service celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 4, 2020 at Stouts Creek Cemetery in Saltillo with Hershey Barnett officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.
Johnny was born on March 14, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to the late Willie Lee Fite and Flonnie Christine Snider Fite.
Johnny enlisted in the U. S. Army on November 26, 1964 and proudly served his country for four years, discharging on July 26, 1968. After his discharge from the Army, Johnny worked as an electrician for General Motors for 24 years. Johnny moved to the Lake Tawakoni community in 1997.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and Bob Fite; and son-in-law Shaae Bird.
He will be loved and missed by his daughters Jamie Bird of Cash and Jillian Heathcock of Point; son Jared Fite and wife Elizabeth of Point; sister Patsy McCracken and husband Tom of Ben Wheeler; grandchildren Jenna, Jaiden, Eli, Parker, Payton, Chevy, and Isabella; and his kitty-kid Priss.
