Jojuan “Joe” Martel Clemons, Sr., age 42, passed away on September 28, 2024. He was born on July 2, 1982 in Dallas, Texas to Candace Johnson and Anthony Johnson.

Jojuan dedicated his life to working in law enforcement, his passion was serving and protecting others. He worked as a deputy sheriff for both Hunt and Kaufman counties and as an officer for the city of Itasca.

Outside of work, Joe was a devoted family man. He cherished time with his loved ones and enjoyed many hobbies like traveling, watching movies, fixing things, and cooking. Six years ago, Joe fell in love with Ana and their bond grew over time. They recently were married in May of this year, marking the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in their lives together.

Joe is survived by his beloved family, including; his wife, Ana Clemons; and his adoring children Amira Clemons, Averie Clemons, and Jojuan Clemons, Jr.; his stepchildren Jessabel, Janine, Phillip, and John; his parents Anthony Johnson and Candace Johnson. His Granny Jean and Elder Floyd. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Joe will be remembered for his big heart and vivacious smile, his dedication to his family. And his unwavering commitment to serving others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
