Joe proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he earned a deep respect for the flag and the ideals it represents. His patriotism was evident in his every action, and he carried his service and love of country with pride throughout his life.
He was known for his quick wit, dry sense of humor, and the ability to treat everyone the same. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and his love for his family was boundless.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Catherine “Cathy”; son, Matthew Littlehale of Greenville, Texas; daughter, Erica Johnson of Cumby, Texas; brothers: Paul Waldrop, Bobby Waldrop; sister, Kelly Owens; grandsons: Gabriel Hearne of Emory, Texas, and Justin Johnson of Cumby, Texas; and numerous nieces; nephews; and extended family.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents: Jessie and Emma Jo Waldrop; and his sister, Sarina Cheak.
