Juana Barcenas Diaz-Vega, 81, of Greenville, formerly of Ojuelos Jalisco Mexico, passed away on January 23, 2021 in Greenville. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Memoryland Memorial Park with Deacon Marco Antonio Cruz officiating.  A Rosary will be held prior to service at 9:00 A.M. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Vega was born June 24, 1939 in Ojuelos Jalisco Mexico to Pablo Barcenas and Margarita Diaz. She married Juan Chico Vega in Ojuelos Jalisco Mexico on June 24, 1958. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Williams Catholic Church.

She is survived by her sons, Jose De Jesus Vega, Jose Manuel Vega, Francisco Vega, Pablo, Miguel Vega, Luiz Vega, Juan Jose Vega and Thomas Vega; daughters, Maria Elida Vega-Cano, Angelica Vega Olivarez, Mary Celia Vega Martinez and Anita Vega Morales; brother, Jesus Barcenas Diaz; sisters, Refugio Barcenas Diaz, Josefina Barcenas Diaz and Guadalupe Barcenas Diaz; thirty-one grandchildren and forty-two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Chico Vega, parents, Pablo and Margarita Barcenas Diaz, brother, Guadalupe Barcenas Diaz, sisters, Aurora and Maria Luz Barcenas Diaz and great-granddaughter, Aurora Luz Anita Morales.

Pallbearers will be Jose De Jesus Vega Jr., Christopher Vega, Manuel Vega Jr., Francisco Vega, Jr., Miguel Vega Jr., Juan Vega Jr., Julian Deangelo Olivarez and Adam Vega.

We are requesting that you limit the size of the gathering during the viewing due to concerns regarding the current health crisis. Please feel free to come and pay your respects but limit your contact with others as per recommended guidelines from the CDC.
