Kathryn Berg Winkle, age 66, of Quinlan, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 in a Plano hospital. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 2:00P.M. – 7:00P.M. at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan. A private burial will be held at a later date in Lone Oak Cemetery in Lone Oak.
Kathryn Winkle was born on November 28, 1953 in Montgomery, Alabama to Gordan Herbert Berg and Reva Helen Carlton Berg. She lived in Dallas before moving to the Quinlan area in 1982. Kathryn was loving known as ‘Nana’ and always considered any friends as her extended family. Nana was passionate about collecting assorted trinkets and knickknacks and enjoyed spending time at various garage sales and yard sales to add to her extensive collection. She took great pride in being a gifted organized hoarder of her collection. Kathryn always had a beautiful smile and positive attitude for those around her. She loved taking care of others, whether feeding squirrels and birds in her yard or hosting holidays events for her family. Most of all she adored being with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jennifer Jennings in September 2019; brother, Wayne Hanson in December 2019 and her k9 kid, PJ in October 2020.
She is loved and will be missed by her son, Scott Jennings and wife Kim of Quinlan; daughter, Tracey Harris and husband Wayne of Quinlan; brother, Mike Berg and wife Deb of Minnesota; sister, Rebecca Wahl of Nebraska; grandchildren, Megan, Savanah, Brianna and husband Willie, Bradley, Brenden, and Robert and wife Savanna; great grandchildren, Kaiden, David, Tiegan, and Sawyer; best friends, Rebecca Weaver and Suzi Sisson; and lifelong partner, Robert Winkle of Quinlan.
