Kay Morgan, 74, passed away August 4, 2020, at her home in Greenville, Tx. She was born on April 16, 1946 to A.C. And Theda Taschinger in Houston. Throughout her life, Kay always had a “firecracker” spirit. She was a kind, caring, giving soul, always providing a warm meal and safe place for all to feel that in her presence everything in the world be alright. Her life’s work was to always care for others. To know her was to love her! Kay looked forward to her annual birthday trips provided to her by her loving children. She was permitted to select any destination of her choice each year. They would then have a blast celebrating with her and making lasting memories. Kay’s favorite things included her coffee, baking sweets, going to the casino and crafting. She was also very patriotic, often decorating with the American flag, eagles and Marine memorabilia. She is survived by daughters, Tammie Hurst, Kym Garland, son, Jeff McMinn; stepdaughters, Stephanie Colburn and Melanie James. Grandchildren, Kip Brenchley, Ashlee Scarbrough and husband Jacob, Garrett Garland, Chase McMinn, Kenzie Hurst, Wesley McMinn, and new great-grandson Benjamin Scarbrough; sisters, Sandy Schulmire and husband Jim, Debbie Taschinger, numerous nieces and nephews; her beloved pet, Sophie; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. Kay is preceded in death by the love of her life, Jack Morgan, parents, A.C. And Theda Taschinger. The family will have a celebration of life on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Under the Wildwood in Greenville, Texas from 11 am – 2:00 pm.
