Kelly Irene Talbot passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by her loved ones on June 21, 2024. She was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on August 11, 1963, the daughter of Dorothy Wilson Talbot and Bill Talbot. Details of an upcoming memorial service are forthcoming.
Kelly attended La Grange High School, graduating with the class of 1981, and went on to attend Sowell Tech, graduating in 1982.
Kelly’s occupation as a stay-at-home mom kept her busy, as she lovingly cared for her children. In her sparetime she enjoyed reading romance books. As her children married and had children of their own, she enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her grandkids.
Kelly is survived by her daughter, Megan Rust, and husband, Michael; son, Taylor Johnson, and wife, Brittany Leitem; grandchildren Kylee Butler, Ethin Butler, Alexis Rust, Keyton Rust, Cheyanne Johnson, Ryle Johnson, Gunner Leitem, and Ranger Leitem. She is also survived by her sisters, Gari Talbot, Ginger Talbot, Martha Richard, and husband, Michael; brother, Todd Talbot, and wife, Jenny; and nieces and nephews, Will and Evie Talbot, Jennifer Richard, Adam Richard, Ryan Stutes, and Lucy Theriot.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Kenneth Talbot.
