Larry Don Combs, age 83 of Greenville, Texas went home to be with our Lord & Savior on February 16th, 2022.    Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Sunday February 20, 2022 at Coker- Mathews Funeral Home Chapel.  Reverend Jim Gatliff will be officiating the service.  Visitation will be on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 5-7PM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.  Interment service will be held following funeral services at Memoryland Memorial Park, Greenville, Texas.

 Larry was a retired Southern Baptist minister who pastored many churches in Hunt County for over 40 years.  Larry retired from Lone Star Gas Company now owned by Atmos Energy Company and owned Combs Repair Shop on FM 2101 for many years.

 Larry was born on July 18th, 1938, in the Sunset Community South of Greenville, Texas.   He was the son of Lois Dudley Combs and Della Juanice (McClatchy) Combs.  He married his “little Cash Girl” Miss Betty Lou Hagan on June 7th, 1957. Larry and Betty enjoyed 64 years of marriage to one another.  Betty was Larry’s sweetheart and best friend all those years.   Their love story was incredible, they were inseparable … until death do us part but they we will meet again.

 Larry is survived by his wife, Betty Combs, Daughters, Judy Lynn (Combs) Wallace & husband Sampson Wallace of Grand Saline, Texas, Pamela Diane (Combs) Donaldson and husband Jim Donaldson of Italy, Texas.

 Grand Children:   Kyle Wallace, Stacy “Marie” Wallace, Justin Anderton, William Anderton, Jarrod Anderton, Megan Anderton, Alan Ford, Stephanie Ford, Peyton Jacobs, Billy Jacobs and 10 great grandchildren.   One sister, Joan Carolyn (Combs) Martinez and husband Rudy of Mesquite, Texas, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 Larry was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Gary Don Combs and son David Brian Combs.

 Larry was an amazing servant leader for the Kingdom of Heaven and his life story reflects his love for God, his wife, family and so many others.   Larry is loved and will be truly missed.
