Laura Mischelle “Shelly” Day, 55, of Farmersville, passed away April 20, 2021 at Mercy Heart Hospital of Oklahoma City, OK. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Vaughn and Mr. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the chapel.
Mischelle was born January 12, 1966 in Greenville, Texas to James Leslie Chesshier and Laura Virginia Lilly. She was a homemaker and retired with L-3 in communications. She enjoyed activities with her grandchildren and watching her boys race.
She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Day, Jr. and Michael Day and wife, Terra, both of Farmersville; father, James Chesshier of Redwood Falls, MN; mother, Laura Prieb of Detroit Lake, MN; sister, Pamela Chesshier Wharton and (Jeff) of Morton, MN; grandchildren, Alisha, Trey, Allison, Keizer Day all of Famersville; niece, Jennifer Coners and husband, Terry of Morton, MN; and nephew, Jeffrey Wharton, Sr. of St. Cloud, MN; great-nephew, Jeffrey R. Wharton, Jr. of Morton, MN; and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents and several uncles and aunts.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Day, Jr., Michael Day, Johnathan Cook, Bradley Cruise, Billy Brierton and Rambo Aguilar.
Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Day and Keizer Day.
