Lavern Edward Smith, age 63, of Quinlan, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at his home. He was born on July 22, 1960 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Albert and Irene (Fisher) Smith. Lavern served in the US Air Force and worked as a maintenance tech.
He is survived by his children, Kevin Smith, Christina Smith, Morgan Smith; grandchildren, Issac Gray, Nickolas Gray, Aubrey Devney; siblings; Janice Smith, Jacqueline Grund, Sharon Reiter, Ronald Smith, Richard Smith; aunt, Dorothy Harkins; uncle, Gerald Covington.
Lavern was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Linda Hall, Charles Smith, Donald Smith, Rudy Smith; grandparents, Rudolph and Rose Mary Fisher.
