Lee Murry Burch 90, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2021 in the arms of his beloved Sandy at their home in Greenville, Texas.  He was born  July 3, 1931 to Isaiah and Vesta (McElory) Burch in Benavides, Texas.

He married the love of his life Wanda “Sandy” (Ingle) Burch on June 18, 1953, they shared 68 wonderful years together.

Raised as a poor farm boy, he attended both Arlington College and the University of Texas at Austin following his military service.  Lee proudly served his county in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War.  He then lived the rest of his life honorably as a disabled veteran. He worked as an Engineer and Program Manager on several notable defense contracts for E-Systems for many years.

Along with his love for being an avid outdoorsman including fishing, boating, and hunting, he enjoyed spending time on the ranch with his horses.  In addition, he had numerous interests such as genealogy, classic cars, and guns. He lived a full and well-rounded life.

Lee leaves lasting and wonderful memories for his family and friends.

Lee is survived by his wife, Sandy Burch; sons, Mike “Tex” Burch (Kathryn), Rusty Burch (Kay), Scotty Burch (Julie); eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; his older sister Edith Goates; along with a host of loving relatives and friends. Lee is preceded  in death by his parents and his older brother James Burch.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in the Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville.  A Visitation will begin one hour prior at 10:00 AM on the same day in the same location. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills, Texas.
