Lorine Burnes, age 88, of Lone Oak Texas, passed away on November 12th, 2021, in Lone Oak, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with the Funeral Service to follow, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. The final resting place will be at Hooker Ridge Cemetery following.
She was born on May 01, 1933, to Johnny Ewing Phillips and Bessie Lee Bynum Phillips, then met the love of her life in the 6th grade and married him at the age of 15 in January 1949, and she enjoyed her time with J.D. Burnes for the last 72 years. She worked several years for E-System Ins. as an electronic assembler and then became a housewife. She also held several offices within the church and taught the Sunday School and Vacation Bible School to small children.
Lorine was a very active lady, she loved to fish, she helped take care of their cattle, along with canning everything she could. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she enjoyed spending time with her family and having large meals at Christmas and Thanksgiving while giving thanks in a circle holding hands.
Survived by her: husband, J.D., of Lone Oak, son, James Burns, and wife Sherry, of Point Texas, daughter, Sue Huett and husband Max, of Greenville, and Joe Burns and wife Debra, of Rockwall Texas. And dear friend Wanda Fritz.
Preceded in death: her parents, Johnny and Bessie Phillips and Susie her K-9 kid.
Pallbearers: Jason Burns, Jason Smith, Ryan Payne, Michael Burns, John Wildey, Jerry Gilbreth, and Alternate is Collin Burns.
