The former Lula Belle Taylor was born April 1, 1942, to Otis Drayton and Eva Belle Latham Taylor in Rains County.
Lou passed away December 26, 2021. Service will be held at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday 12:30 P.M. Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. Burial in Emory City Cemetery.
In 1959 Lou married Sammy Potts. They had two children. In 1974 she married Ronnie Walthall. He had four children. Lou work as a waitress in restaurants in and around West Tawakoni, where she has lived since 1974.
Ms. Walthall is survived by her children Kenneth Potts of Tawakoni, daughter Tammie Holland of Lone Oak, Stepson Jack Walthall and Hilda of Emory, Stepdaughter DeDee Walthall of Oklahoma, Brothers Odie and Dorothy Taylor of Emory, Lester and Deloris Taylor of Kaufman, Harrel Taylor of Fort Worth, Sister Lena and Larry Nugent of Emory, Grand-Children Josh, Amie, Ronnie and Eva, Great Grand-Children Noah, Alexander and Isabella and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Brother Curtis Taylor, 1st husband Sammy Potts, Husband Ronnie Walthall, Grandson Billy Potts, Son-in-law Butch Holland, and Stepchildren Ricky and LaNette.
Pallbearers will be Richard Taylor, Leslie Taylor, Jason Nugent, Jermey Nugent, Conner Nugent, Mason Nugent.
She was the rock that held the family together.
