Mr. Luther H. “Duke” Snider, 90, of Lone Oak, passed away September 3, 2024, in Valley View. He was born June 10, 1934, in Comanche County, OK, to Earl Luther and Ada Bell Hicks Snider. On June 1, 1955, he married Sue Egleston in Kingfisher, OK. Together, they moved from Lewisville to Lone Oak in 1982. He worked as a glass blower for Texas Instruments and also enjoyed working with cows and quarter horses. He loved his grandkids more than anything else in this world. L. H. “Duke” was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 56 years, Sue Snider.
Survivors include his son, David Snider and wife Lori of Valley View; daughter, Kimberly Wallace of OK; sister, Inez Butts and husband Scott of Pauls Valley, OK; three grandchildren, Julie and Justin, Jennifer and Ryan, and Justin and Christin; nine great-grandchildren, Taylor and Wilson, Nicholas and Haley, Jaden, Jakob, Cameron and Ryan, Cayden, Hayes, Wyatt, and Waylon; two great-great-grandchildren, Lucas and Mavis; and numerous other relatives and friends.
