Upon graduation from Whitney High School, she moved to Oklahoma and then to Dallas, TX where she met and married Doile Hampton McIlveene on August 29, 1947. They eventually settled on a farm in Campbell, TX where she enjoyed gardening. She loved serving her community and volunteered for many organizations including PTA, the Campbell ISD school board, the Texas SBC Women’s Mission Board. Her gifts of servitude and hospitality will be remembered by all who knew her. Her children will forever remember their time spent growing up on the farm and weekend trips to the lake.
