Mae Tamiline (Reid) Barnett 82 of Caddo Mills, passed away on February 17, 2024. She was born on August 29, 1941 to Everett Davis and Tamiline Mae (Gregan) Reid in Washington, D.C. Mae lived a well-rounded life. She thoroughly enjoyed eating seafood and the art of selecting the perfect crab. She delighted in beautiful things such as hummingbirds and butterflies, the color purple, and the taste of all chocolate candies. She loved all things family, cherishing time together. She lived for being a devoted mother and grandmother. Mostly she dearly loved and cherished her two grandchildren.
Mae is survived by her son, Michael Barnett and wife Connie of Caddo Mills; grandchildren, Dana Barnett and Mitch Barnett, both of Caddo Mills; nieces and nephews, Dean Hamilton and wife Julie of Huntingtown, Maryland, Jeff Hamilton and wife Michelle of North Beach, Maryland, Denise Przybylowicz of Dallas, Karen Lindquist of San Antonio; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Joyce Reid, and Shirley Hamilton; along with a multitude of other family members.
Mae will be laid to rest in Cedar Hill Cemetery, in Suitland, Maryland.
