Maria Limas Montalban, 59, of Campbell, Texas, passed away at her home on Thursday, January 6, 2022. She was born on March 1, 1962, in Brownsville, Texas, the daughter of Eluterio Limas and Maria Garza.

Maria attended high school in Brownsville, Texas, graduating with the class of 1980. She then attended Texas Southmost College in Brownsville. While still in Brownsville, she married the love of her life, Julio Montalban. For the last sixteen years, Maria and her family have lived in Campbell, Texas. They were active members of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Greiner Middle School in the Dallas ISD was fortunate to have Maria as their office manager for many years.

Maria enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an avid shopper, played Bingo, and enjoyed traveling to many interesting places, where she met a variety of new people. Her faith was important to her. Attending mass was an integral part of her life.

Left to cherish Maria’s memory are her husband, Julio; her daughter, Jessica De Leon and husband, Jamie; his grandchildren, Julimarie De Leon, Nick De Leon, and Luke De Leon; great granddaughter, Jessa De Leon Champion; and her brothers, Jesus Limas and wife, Rosalba, and Juan Limas.

Maria was preceded in death by her grandparents.
