Marilyn Sandlin, 85, was escorted by Jesus Christ to her heavenly home on Saturday, September 14, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Marilyn had an abundance of love for her Heavenly Father, family, friends, and her church. She loved singing in her church choir and spending time with her family and friends. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1951 then attended East Texas State University where she enjoyed singing in the University Choir.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Brad Sandlin; daughter, Kim Sandlin Lee and her husband Douglas Lee; brother, James Carter; eight grandchildren, Morgan Sandlin Benton and her husband Garland, Christian Sandlin, Hannah Sandlin, Sarah Sandlin, Meagan Lee, Marlee Lee, Mallory Lee Deatherage and her husband Aaron, and Mia Lee; four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Sandlin; mother and father, Fred and Mary Carter, and two brothers, John Marshall Carter and Kenneth Austin Carter.
A Funeral Service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church in Greenville, TX on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 2:00 PM. With a visitation one hour prior.
