Mary Ann Asbury 61, of Greenville, died October 14, 2023, due to a car accident. Her Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Greenville High School Auditorium, 3515 Lions Lair Rd, Greenville, TX 75402. Burial will be at Grundy Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM at Love & Integrity Funeral Home, 4900 King St, Greenville, TX 75401.
According to her birth certificate, she was born November 2, 1961, in Indianola, MS to Robert and Lizzie Mae Murry. On Jan. 2, 1993, she married the love of her life Edward Asbury in Greenville; they had been married 17 years before he preceded her in heaven. She was a graduate of Gentry High School of Indianola, MS & a college graduate from Texas A&M Commerce. She dedicated her life to Greenville ISD for about 12 years and she was a member of Community Church of God In Christ for the last 18 years.
Her legacy will be continued on by her mother Lizzie Mae Murry, brothers: Andrew & Henry Williams; sons Marcus Smith (Keiara), Larry Barksdale (Zarina), Antonio Barksdale (Chamiera); daughters Victoria Sampson (Xavier), and Kimberly Murray; nieces Evelyn Smallwood & Angel Murray; 11 grandchildren (Harmony, Essence, XJ, Kalaiha, Israel, Luke, Evan, Da’Marcus Jr, Damyiah, Damoni, Khloe). Godparents Robert (Dovie) McDonalds and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She’ll be joined in heaven by her husband Edward Asbury, her father Robert Murry, and her sister Evelyn Murray.
