Ann Evans, 89, of Quinlan, TX, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025. Ann was a loving mother, devoted wife, friend to all, and a pillar of her community and her church. She was born in Terrell, TX on July 22. 1935. Ann married the love of her life, Tommy Evans, on May 18, 1957, in Oklahoma. Their enduring love story spanned many years and was a testament to their devotion to one another.
Ann dedicated her professional life to Quinlan State Bank, where she served as a respected banker. Beyond her career, she and Tommy shared a passion for serving their community and spent many years working together in The Evans Family restaurant in Quinlan. Their shared commitment to the town left a lasting impact on those they served.
A woman of many interests, Ann found joy in camping and traveling, creating cherished memories with her husband, family, and friends. She was also a gracious hostess, delighting in entertaining in her home. Ann possessed a warm and vibrant personality, making friends easily wherever she went. She never met a stranger, and her genuine care for others touched the lives of many. She was a little lady with a big personality, and her kindness and compassion will be deeply missed.
Ann was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church in Quinlan, where her faith provided her with strength and comfort.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her son, Jerry Morgan, and his wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Christa Lormand and her husband, David, April Wright and her husband, Shayne, and Holly Morgan; great-grandchildren, Ally Turbeville and her husband, Coley, Covey Wright, Ethan Lormand, Ryliegh Corbin, Madisyn Marquez and her husband, Gabe, and Luke Corbin; and great-great-grandchildren, Presley Turbeville, Enzo Marquez, and Harley Gray. She is also survived by her sister, Joyce Taylor.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tommy Evans; her son, Phillip Morgan; and her sister, Loyce Manning.
She will be dearly missed by a host of loving extended family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 10 am in the Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, Texas. Interment will follow the services at IOOF Cemetery in Quinlan, Texas.
