Mary Lee (Tyler) Dorman 88 of Greenville, passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 1, 1935 to John Thomas and Ina Lee (Beck) Tyler in McKinney, Texas.
Mary was a very skilled quilter. Her talent can be seen in each and every quilt piece she made. Mary also enjoyed her extensive collections of buttons, dolls, and tea kettles. From unique to ordinary, each item had a special meaning to her, and she loved them all.
Mostly, Mary was a family-oriented woman. She deeply loved her family and cherished every moment spent with each family member. She will be remembered for being a devoted Nana to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mary leaves lasting and wonderful memories for her family and friends.
Mary is survived by the love of her life, her adoring husband of 70 years, Douglas Allen Dorman; children, Michael Dorman and wife Teresa of Allen, Sharon Laird of Greenville, Virginia Jones and husband Glen of Alba; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of loving relatives and friends
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Sue Shewbirt; and grandson, Joe Shewbirt
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in the Lynch Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills, Texas. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023 also in the Lynch Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills, Texas. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills, Texas.
