Services for Mary Pearl Land, 93, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Lone Oak Baptist Church, with Bro. Robert Cook is officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.
Mrs. Land passed away on August 3, 2024, in Greenville. She was born August 18, 1930, in Point, to John Arthur Crabtree and Lilly Pearl Weatherford Crabtree. Mary lived in Lone Oak for a large part of her life. She was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. She was the cafeteria manager at Lone Oak ISD Schools for 31 years. Over the years, she was active in the Lone Oak PTA, Vacation Bible School, Lone Oak Civic Club, and Lone Oak Little League. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rubert Land; son, Bobby Land; brothers, Joe Ben Crabtree and Archie Ray Crabtree; sisters, Pauline Moore and Alene Suits.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Ray Land and wife Marvonne; grandsons, Ken Land Jr. and wife Kristi, Andy Land, Matt Land and wife Morgan, and Wesley Land; step-granddaughter, Amy Bass and husband David; step-grandson, Lance Bass and wife Jennifer; great-grandsons, Karson Land and Layton Bass; great-granddaughters, Kirstie Land, Jolie Bass, Macie Sevier, Kensi Land, and Laynee Bass; sisters-in-law, Shirley Crabtree and Grace Land; and many nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and friends. The family would like to offer many thanks for the loving care provided by Briarcliff Health Care in Greenville.
Pallbearers will be Danny Bowman, Lester Hunt, Dewey Elmore, Rickey Fisher, John Suits, and Gary Dooley.
Honorary pallbearers Charles Moore, William Powell, Ray Crabtree, Robert Vice, and Herb Smith.
