Melissa “Mel” May Jenkins, 42, of Greenville passed away on March 29, 2024. She was born on December 9, 1981 in Plano, TX to Lee and Vesta Damron.
Mel also known as Aunt Lissa, loved her Lord and Savior and was a member of Lifeway Church of Princeton. She was highly talented and there just wasn’t anything that Mel could not do. She owned Maid 2 Scrub & Clean, however family time was the most important to her. She was the youngest sis, yet an “old soul”. She loved her animals and enjoyed farm life with her husband and children.
Mel is survived by her husband, Ryan Jenkins; children: Brianna Nicole, Aiden Dean, and Connor David Jenkins; parents: Lee and Vesta Damron; sisters: Misty Lutz, Roseanna Ringo; nieces and nephews: Michael, Matthew, Marissa, Nate, Alex, Gregory, Noah, LeAnna, Hunter, Riley, Piper, Ian, Roman, Emberlynn, Lincoln, Evelynn, Alyssa, Caitlyn, Aiyana, Penelope, Lily, Trinity, Angel; life-long “sisters”: Misty Brinker, Crystal Fogle; and an abundance of loving extended family and friends.
Mel was preceded in death by her grandparents: Donald Ray Fenter and Granny Earlene, and W.L. & Norma Damron.
There will be a family-led memorial service at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the Greenville Elks Lodge 703. Melissa has requested that everyone, instead of wearing black, wear purple to her memorial.
