Melvin Leroy Scarth, 89 of Caddo Mills, TX. Passed away on December 19, 2020. He was born on December 27, 1930 to Roy and Lucille Scarth in Hamilton, OH. Melvin worked in construction for many years and helped open Lake Point Hospital in Rowlett as the head of maintenance. Melvin was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God. He was a member of the Studebaker Driver’s Club and collected replica cars. Melvin was also was an avid reader, worked puzzles and enjoyed Nascar.

Melvin is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Darlene Scarth; daughter, Sharon Jacobs and her husband, Andy; grandchildren, BreAnna Jacobs, Justin Jacobs and his wife, Chasity; great grandchildren, Camdyn, Bayler, Adyson, Matthew, Londyn, Savannah and a baby on the way in July 2021; brother, Elmer Scarth along with a host of relatives and friends.

Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lucille Scarth, one brother, Gene Scarth and three sisters, Wilma, Hazel and Mildred.
