Nancy Carolyn Lloyd, 78, of Greenville (formerly of Caddo Mills), passed away on February 3, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 20, 1945, in Randolph, Texas, to Lewis Nolan “Jake” McCasland, Sr. and Virgie Lanora McCasland.
Carolyn married the love of her life, Bob Lloyd, on November 15, 1996, and they were married 28 years. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother. Carolyn loved her family time with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved to paint, do crossword puzzles, and word finds, and occasionally visit the casinos.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Lloyd; daughters: Malaina Rainey and husband Steve, Janis Shields and husband John; son, Eric Edgington and fiancée Christie Finke; grandchildren: Andrew Rainey and wife Myranda, Jacob Rainey and wife Samantha, Melea Luke and husband Marty, Morgan Seals, Cheyenne Rogers and husband James, Sierra Shields and fiancé Bryan Soto, Tanyon Shields, Donnalee Edgington and fiancé Eric Johnson, Erica Sisson and husband Jerid; 21 great-grandchildren with another one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents: Lewis Nolan “Jake” McCasland, Sr. and Virgie Lanora McCasland; seven brothers: Roy, Kieffer, Donald, Nolan, Herschel, Thomas, and Jerry, and two sisters: Joyce Mays, and Durrell Rhodes.
A memorial service will be held at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills, TX on Saturday, February 10, starting at 2:00 PM. Pastor Kip Brockway will be presiding over the service.
