Services for Nathan Alec “Nae Nae” Slemmons, 19, of Greenville, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Bull Creek Cowboy Church with Bro. Jeff Jackson officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.
Nathan passed away June 13, 2021. He was born June 22, 2001, in Greenville, to Kenneth Michael & Christina Jo Fuzzell Slemmons. He was a lifelong resident of Lone Oak where he graduated from Lone Oak High School, Class of 2019. “Nae Nae” worked as a welder with River Ranch Construction. He loved to be outdoors, enjoying fishing and hunting. He was always smiling and especially enjoyed being around little children. Nathan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth Michael Slemmons, Sr.; and great-grandfather, James Kenneth “Big Daddy” Slemmons.
Survivors include his fiancée, Marissa Faye Lutz of Greenville; parents, Mike & Christina Slemmons of Greenville; grandparents, David & Paula Fuzzell of Lone Oak and Sharon Slemmons & Bill Knue of Quinlan; great-grandparents, Kaye Slemmons of Greenville, and Jim & Sondra Fetz of Van Alstyne; three brothers, Ethan Michael Slemmons of Greenville, Aden James Slemmons of Greenville, and C.J. Hubbard of Commerce; sister, Allyson Rae Slemmons of Greenville; aunts and uncles, Jeramy & Cori Slemmons of Emory, Matthew Jeramy Fuzzell of Greenville, Pat Fuzzell of Lone Oak, Amber Kaye Slemmons of Quinlan, Dillon & Sherry Gibson of Lone Oak, Ryan & Misti Payne of Lone Oak, Jimmy Joe & Stephanie Slemmons of Lone Oak, and Duane & Shanna Lyday of Celeste; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2021, at Bull Creek Cowboy Church.
