Neal Hardy Parrott, 93, of Greenville passed away April 3, 2021, at his home.  Services will be held on Wednesday, April 7th at 11:00 AM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Vowell officiating. Interment followed at Shady Grove Cemetery. 

Born September 24, 1927 in Peniel, Hunt County, Texas, Neal was the son of Neal W. and Leola (Perry) Parrott.  On December 23, 1948 in Greenville, he married Bettye Rachel Pearce.  He was veteran of the United States Army and a retired mechanical engineer from Atmos Energy, formerly Lone Star Gas Company.  In 1955, he was recognized for outstanding service as a professional engineer for over 50 years by the Texas State Board of Professional Engineers.  He was a member of Westview United Methodist Church (formerly Lee Street Methodist Church).

Mr. Parrott is survived by his daughters, Mary Beth Hess and husband, Randy of Porter Ranch, California and Janie Moser of Dallas; grandchildren H. Nicole Hess, PHD and husband, Kevin Jentes, Lauren E. Saez and husband, Jeb, Kim Schlesinger and husband, Kurt and Rachel Cox and husband, Kyle; and great-grandchildren Jack Schlesinger, Wyatt Saez, Caroline Schlesinger, Autumn Jentes, Jasmine Saez and Avery Jentes.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, who passed away in 2020.

Pallbearers were Randy Hess, Kurt Schlesinger, Kyle Cox, Bob Bihr, HyoKi Chung and Terry Jones.  Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Turner, Jeb Saez, Kevin Jentes, Keith Fischer, Rusty Warren and Richard Tharp.
