Nelda Ruth Fitch, 86, of Greenville, passed away on June 30, 2024, at Briarcliff Health Center in Greenville. A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM, on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Memoryland Memorial Park with Mr. Kenny Stone officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Nelda was born on March 24, 1938, in Dekalb, Texas to James E. Oliver and Dortha Gale Taylor Oliver. Nelda married Troy Fitch on February 24, 1967, in Hugo Oklahoma. Nelda was a longtime member of Family Fellowship Church and was a homemaker and served as a Pink Lady.
Nelda is survived by sons Gary Don Wallace and wife Angie, Kevin Brent Wallace, daughter Dana Devers and husband Mark, grandchildren Adam Wallace, Chelsi Hansen, Sarah Ivory, Taren Messenger, Kacy Wallace, and Kayde Wallace, sixteen great-grandchildren, brothers James Oliver and wife Jonell, Bobby Oliver and wife Nancy, and Morris Oliver and wife Shelley, and sister Joyce Shivers.
Nelda is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Sherman Oliver.
