Norman Ray Chreene, born July 7, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, to A.D. Chreene and Dorothy Mae Blankenship Chreene, passed away peacefully at his home in Quinlan, Texas, on August 6, 2025, at the age of 73.
Norman was a man of deep kindness and unwavering loyalty. Known for his generous spirit, he would do anything for anybody. He was truly a “man’s man”—strong, dependable, and always putting family first.
From the young age of 12, Norman developed a lifelong passion for raising roosters and chickens. It wasn’t just a hobby—it was a part of who he was. He found joy and peace in tending to his birds, and it was something that defined him to everyone who knew him.
Norman was married to the love of his life, E.J. Chreene, for nearly 19 years. Together, they built a life centered around love, laughter, and family. He is survived by his beloved wife E.J.; his children Norman Jr., Mark, Jeff, Jamie, Chance, Shane, Stephanie, and Jennie; numerous grandchildren and one great-grandson; and his siblings Barbara, Dale, Alan, Raymond, Larry, and Roy. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends who loved and respected him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Dorothy, and brothers A.D. and Joe.
Norman’s legacy is one of love, strength, and selfless generosity. He will be missed beyond measure, but never forgotten.
