Funeral services for Oneta Faye (Worel) Thomason, age 89, of Wolfe City will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the Mount Carmel Cemetery Chapel with Phil Clay officiating. Burial will follow with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM prior to service time.
Mrs. Thomason died Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Hunt Regional Medical Center. She was born in Garvin County Oklahoma on November 23, 1930, the daughter of Ola Inez Berry and Oscar Obey Worel.
Mrs. Thomason was a Retail manager and was a member of the First United Methodist church in Wolfe City.She is survived by her two daughters: Ola (Dick) Owens from Wolfe City and Janie (Gary) Barnette from Pflugerville, TX., Grandchildren: Heather (Brad) Singleton of Austin, Matthew (Gabriella) Barnette from Manor, Adrienne (Heath) Brienholt from Pflugerville. Great grandchildren: Carter and Zane Singleton from Austin, Mason and Adam Breinholt from Pflugerville. Brothers: Sam Goodwin from Mead OK., Grant Goodwin from Atoka, OK. Sisters: Cathy Watson (Clifford) from Caney, OK., Pat (Brad) McCurry from Haltom City, TX. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ola Berry and Oscar Obey Worel and grandson Colin Owens September 1, 2009.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Aguilar Family and Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home of Commerce.
