Patsy Ruth Ellis, 80, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Legends Nursing Center in Greenville. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, May 7th at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Brady Cook officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday morning beginning at 9:30 until service time.
Born September 22, 1941 in Rayville, Louisiana, Pat was the daughter of Samuel A. Collins and Gertrude Moore Collins. On August 12, 1983, she married Elmer Ellis in Greenville. She retired from the Social Security Administration as a branch manager. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Ellis of Greenville; daughter, Terri McKiggan and husband, Mike of Carrollton; sons David Ellis of Garland and Curtis Ellis & wife, Debbie of Bullard; grandchildren Andrew Wall, Bryn Wall, Kade McKiggan, Cody Ellis, Craig Ellis, Cullen Ellis and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews all of Louisiana.
Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rick Leachman in 2019; and brothers and sister, Narrell Dean Collins, Leonard Earl Collins and Lila May Payne all of Louisiana; and granddaughter Holly Ellis Fults of Bullard, TX.
Pallbearers will be Mike McKiggan, David Ellis, Kade McKiggan, Cody Ellis, Drew Wall, and Craig Ellis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
